Your first appointment is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, current symptoms, health history, medications and what you would like support with. Together, we can consider appropriate assessment and treatment options and develop an individualised care plan.
Yes. MindRoots provides ADHD-related assessment, treatment and ongoing management within the clinician’s scope of practice. Depending on your circumstances, additional information, collateral history or specialist involvement may be required.
Where clinically appropriate and within the clinician’s authorised scope of practice, medication may form part of your treatment plan. Prescribing decisions are made following an appropriate clinical assessment and are not guaranteed simply by booking an appointment.
No. Medication is prescribed only when clinically appropriate following assessment. Sometimes further information, investigations or specialist input may be required before medication can be considered.
ADHD medication may be considered where clinically appropriate and in accordance with current Australia prescribing requirements. Your clinician will discuss the available options and any additional assessment, monitoring or specialist involvement that may be required.
Yes. With your consent, MindRoots can collaborate with your GP, psychiatrist, psychologist or other healthcare professionals where this supports coordinated and safe care.
Please choose a quiet, private space with a reliable internet connection and have your current medication list and any relevant health information available. Before your appointment, you will receive a secure link to access the virtual waiting room; simply follow the link at your scheduled appointment time, and your clinician will admit you when they are ready. You may also be asked to provide identification or complete relevant questionnaires or forms before your consultation.
Yes. Your personal and health information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy and health-information requirements. There are limited circumstances where information may need to be shared for safety or legal reasons, which can be discussed with you.

The clinician may recommend additional assessment, collateral information, further investigations or referral to another professional before reaching a diagnostic conclusion or recommending treatment.
Telehealth may limit the ability to conduct physical examinations or respond directly to emergencies. Your clinician may recommend face-to-face assessment or additional investigations where appropriate. If the technology fails during a consultation, we will attempt to reconnect or arrange an alternative method of communication where clinically appropriate.
Email and website contact forms are intended primarily for routine administrative enquiries. They are not continuously monitored and should not be used for urgent clinical concerns or emergencies. Clinical advice, medication changes and urgent treatment decisions may require a consultation.
